Got some more info from my exit interview and this is what they came back with: they said that it had nothing to do with me, and that it was a combination of provisioning for budgets, combined with laptop resource problems. They told me i would thrive better in a faster, less constricted environment.
It's really weird, I was on very good terms with the boss and the manager, and then out of nowhere, they terminated me in the morning. They couldn't do it directly, so they had some low level IT grunt call me instead
