Intergenerational Wealth stops now

Let's not forget boomers were the first ones to throw away the idea of 3-4 generations living in one home taking care of each other. The first assisted living home was built in 1981. Boomers were the first ones to say "fuck you mom and dad, go have someone else take care of you." They were the first ones to tell their children "fuck letting you establish a career and stockpile a moderate savings, you're 18, get out of our house now"
Then they went and blew all their money, got to the age where they can't work anymore, and they sit in these retirement homes that they created rotting away whining about how their kids don't want to visit them, don't seem to give a shit about them, and how they can't afford to buy their mobility scooters because they saved none of their money.

Gen X is already starting to realize what a big fuck up that is and now they're more willing to accept the tradeoff of living with their kids into their 20s and 30s because having a family member that cares about you take care of you is better then being shipped off to an old folks home.
