Ehhhhh, that's an old meme from old propaganda. Sure, they have some cool shit, but it's not all that advanced. Especially from a real tech-head's perspective that's been keeping up with stuff.

No doubt they do, but they will always run into the power density problem. The same problem that holds back a good many civilian applications. There's limits on how much power you can hold in a battery system. We need something like what they call a super-capacitor, which relies upon room-temp superconductors. A research that is still on-going. And likely won't get too far what with all the diversity hiring.
There's also the problem of the more power density you have, the more careful you have to be of the machine that holds it. You can't have your average mid-wit (your robot's controllers in the military/whatever) taking control of something with a large power density. Because if they fuck it up somehow, and they will, BOOM.
Which is the problem with hydrogen cells and the like. If, and I mean if, they ever make that product, some dumbass is going to make it explode from sheer stupidity. And I'll bet there's a good chance they'll be twerking as it goes.
