I think the CDC, FDA, and certainly the fed reserve has more security with better tech as well.
I've been to the CNN HQ, walked right up to their server rooms with no interference past the receptionist who allowed me to walk unescorted to the restroom.
It's not difficult to get to that fragile equipment, I had a backpack full of tools too, just no real plan at that time.
I did map all the floors I was on since I was working in the subfloors. They have two rooms with just generators and another room with their battery backups. It's across the hall from the server rooms.
Crazy how safe they think they are, leaving their most important and delicate systems all bundled neatly on the same floor.
