Most nursing homes deal with 'trouble' inmates by drugging the shit out of them. If they think these people don't have long to live then they starve them as well to accelerate the process. I actually understand the motivation behind these decisions and it boils down to this: The business has limited resources and can devote only so much of these resources to any given inmate. Now, if the inmate happens to have a good personality, and gets the the staff to like them that inmate will get much better care.
