I saw a study somewhere that analyzed indians by cast. Not surprisingly the higher caste indians showed more western eurasian admixture. A good example of where the dominant Y haplogroup is deceptive. “Aryan” R1a is the most common Y chomosome in north india, but the autosomal DNA doesn’t bear out a strong relationship to other R1a people like the slavs.
