I think I know what you're talking about - I describe that one as "strapped to the back of a rocket" lol,
I spent a long time trying to specialise in getting to the hallucinations and staying there. This included 'heavy redoses' at points where I knew the visuals would begin to subside into the traditional 'trip' - for example:
00 Hours Consume dried mushrooms in prepared capsules with a decent amount of anything with ginger in it. Swallow ginger root, ginger powder etc... It dampens the nausea. The capsules come on slowly but solid, and provide the skeleton: ~1.5 hours coming up, chill in bath, get comfortable with the uncomfortable feeling of the body being taken over 2 hours visuals start. This is where I start thinking about the 'top up redosing'. 2-3.5 hours is the visual sessions. If I havnt topped up in time, I begin entering the next stage. This transition is always marked by a muted sadness to me though, 3.5 onwards, euphoria, reflection, psychoanalsysis etc. Most people are glad to get here, but for me it's a toll paid for the psychedelic safari I'm after
So I'd experiment with staying in the peak state around 3 hours in. Redose and keep that peak going as long as possible until the effects can't really be felt anymore. There have been times where I've eaten over 1000 liberty caps doing this, others where I've been through 35g of dried cubensis (not in one dose: it began with a 5g dose, then had interval top ups. These top ups were NOT as strong as the times where I experiemnted with starting with 15g+ but them sessions ended up in major barfing
Now, a lot of people say "don't redose it won't work!" but they also say 3g is a big dose. It does work if you double or triple the dose (note: this sucks if you're buying them, but if you pick or grow and have a really good harvest, that's a game changer): then you use lemon to bring the redose on more rapidly and at an expected rate:
As you start getting visuals, you then hit large doses of cannabis [relative to your tolerance, not absolute] which absolutely trigger severe visuals almost as reliably as throwing a rock into a pond generates ripples. Laying down in the dark with a vaporiser is a safe way to do this, in terms of no fire risk.
Then, you need to relax, but be passively observant and learn to seperate between closed eye visuals (ones presented as if they are on the inside of your eyelids or mapping themselves ot your surroundings) vs internal hallucinations. The latter is where it's at. You need to smashed though: stuck to the floor in darkness with your brain feeling like it's melting out of your ears.
For me, Elf characters began to appear as components working this "realm" - they DO NOT manifest in typical closed eye visuals - everything there is a SYMBOL at best, which typically present as fractals, mathematics, patterns, paraedolia etc. Everything in the closed eye visuals seem to be "shadows" of things present in higher dimensions - similar to the way a 3d object casts a 2d shadow. The realm of hallucinating real alternate dimensions with fully fleshed life is more similar to whatever happens when we dream. Again, this means that the elfs were NOT manifesting in this world; they did not magically appear in my kitchen like something from jumanji, instead my minds' eye generated everything from darkness. So just sit in darkness and trip, on your own...
Also, no screens. None at all. Use screens/TV frames as a source for "grounding" myself if I got a bit too deep: the screens significantly reduce the psychedelic effects and experience for everything you see on the screen whilst tripping, could've been achieved without tripping. For example, think of cartoons that imitate drug trips.
Also, try these two things next time you're tripping: 1) rolling your eyes back in order to look at the back/inside/top roof of your own skull. See what is up there, as if you're in an old pristine chapel looking up at the artwork.
2) try making small demands... "ask" the experience to entertain you and see what symbols appear to meet this demand. If you laugh, smile, feel warmth, you're on the right path. There is a strange life force to be found here
Anyway, that's as honest as I can be for giving a few pointers to finding your way there
