She said "just normal ducks" didn't know what kind. She also said she fed them regular poultry food and kitchen scraps, same as the chickens.
Hmmm, I do like yolk so that sounds like a good option.
Interesting about the chick loss issue. I saw a video once where a guy used a hen to foster some ducklings. She went nuts every time they went for a swim. She couldn't understand they weren't going to drown.
