Australia and guns, plus my guns

I'm making this post to copy and paste every time someone says "HUUR THAT'S WHY YOU DONT GIVE UP YOUR GUNS" in reference to Australia.

The attached image are the guns that I own, in Victoria. Yes, they are plain and simple, that is because I am a hunter. I am also cheap. Quantity over quality. I also tend to play the support role, I spend more time letting people shoot my guns and gutting animals than actually shooting, so simple and light guns on my back are usually the best for me.

Top to bottom:
12g single
12g single
12g double
410 single
22 break open springer
177 break open springer
22 pcp
22LR
22wmr
308
Right 22 single. For when the girls get big enough.
Before the lock downs started I was saving for a proper gun, a ruger precision 300winmag. I have reloading gear for the 308 and the projectiles to a degree can be shared between them.

In 1996 the government banned semi auto rifles and shotguns, pump action shotguns for civilian use and silencers. Certain farmers and professional hunters can still get semi autos and silencers. If you want a pistol, you have to start with a 22 and attend sporting events 4 times a year. After some time and a club endorsement you can get a bigger pistol. Semi auto pistols are ok in all of this. You can not use your pistol anywhere other than at the club (legally).

They also implemented registered fire arms at this time. 1996 was 25 years ago. Every one who gave up these rights are currently 43 years old or older. So, anyone who is currently 42 or younger at the time of this post, was under 18 and could not own a gun anyway. I was in primary school in 1996. I had zero ability to resist the system.

Guns you can get in Australia: 50bmg rifles. Here is one for sale in my state that if I had the money, I could buy with my normal license. This one is cheapest around, if you want something better you need to order it, most stores don't stock the fancy ones, but they are available.:

https://www.gunemporium.com.au/product/barrett-m99-50-bmg-32-heavy-barrel-single-shot/

We can get pump actions in any other rifle, other than shotgun. 308 and 223 pump actions are common. Australia also has a large market for straight pulls, which is like a semi auto, but the bolt has a handle that sticks out and you have to manually cycle it, no blow back. My brother in law says its just as fast with practice. Of course, level actions are also available and they are just as fast too.

History of what happened after 1996 with gun owners. The government has been running scare campaigns against guns successfully ever since. However, what has happened is that the number of gun owners has gone down, but the number of guns owned and purchased has gone up. Gun club memberships has also increased significantly. The government attempts to further regulate the guns that come out, but in most cases they are unsuccessful. For example, cylinder rifles had their imports banned and their prices shot up because of this. Some time after it was rescinded because the government did not have the right to do so. They have attacked the Adler lever actions several times because of how fast you can use them, but that went no where. Specially since much better shotguns exist.

Majority of gun owners do not live in the city, where most of the police are. Most of then took their guns rural. Owning a gun can also be hard if you do not have a safe, as we are required to keep them in safes. If your safe does not weigh at least 150kg (like mine) then it has to be bolted to the structure. People renting can not do this. Unless you have a monitored home alarm system, the max guns you can keep in a house is 15. Many people want guns, but the ongoing license cost and inability to get a safe keeps some people out. However, bows have become incredibly popular. I have taken several people out to shoot bows as they do not need a license. I also have 2 bows.

In the end, not giving up guns would not save anyone in australia, because the US has tonnes of guns and they are just as messed up as every one else. Your elections are stolen, your youth heroes are taken to court, your education is destroyed and you are taxed way more than most countries and have nothing to show for it. When are you going to use them? You wont. The same issue there applies to Australia. No one is unified and every one lives separately and lead separate lives. My family is all over the country. I have been creating ties with friends and like minded people locally to create a group for the purposes of defense when the time arises. I one man can not shoot all my guns at once and even my shitty springer air rifles will cause people to pause.

No thanks fam. I'll stay in America and keep my AR's and AK's.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.5 yearsDec 6, 2021 00:20:26 ago (+0/-0)

Why? You guys aren't using them anyway. You can also get ARs here. But they are straight pulls.

[ - ] SparklingWiggle 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 10, 2021 19:51:34 ago (+0/-0)

That is effectively giving up your guns. When it is too difficult or expensive to own them, it reduces the publics overall effectiveness to counter the government. While we are fucked up, we have not been pushed nearly as far as you and the government in many places has backed way the fuck off. There pattern is to squeeze and release, then squeeze harder and release less. Oz is still in major lockdowns. My life is almost unaffected by the bullshit plandemic. If I am pushed too far, all I need to do is reach to the small of my back and start revolting. You can't say the same. In the US, the law cannot be sure who can shoot back at any moment in time. We are a powder keg, all it will take is a static discharge and all hell will break loose. I guaranfuckingtee it.

The us had sub machine guns, full auto and explosive weapons taken. Why didn't you fight for those rights? What about your right to not pay taxes? Gonna fight for those? How about sending money to israel? Fighting for that yet? Stolen elections, fbi crap, this that. whatever.

Its not expensive to own them. It's just that most people are too poor and have to prioritise elsewhere. My car registration costs three times as much as my ongoing gun costs. The average person struggles with rent and a single car and supporting new families and such, but Guns themselves are pretty cheap over all. Ammo though... thanks to you guys is through the roof. In the end because no one is unified and we all pay for separate lives, it makes it harder for people. This also applies to the US.

Almost all countries are boiling.

Aww, did I hit a nerve?

Full auto was taken before my time. Realize similar to your laws, we can buy full auto with certain licenses. Anyone can get a suppressor with proper paperwork and fees (taxes, stamp.) I belong to groups and take part in efforts to restore gun rights. We got our ARs back. I name the jew and ask many people what Israel has done for us. That's as much as I will say here.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 10, 2021 22:42:34 ago (+0/-0)

Nah, no nerve. I moved away from the cities to avoid the communism that was easily seen. It's just so retarded to always see people from US say X should do Y because of Z, but Z isn't even real and they don't even do Y themselves. I feel sorry for you.

Every time I go out hunting I always try and take newbies with me. The only way to prevent further gun control here (as the government is clearly treasonous in every way), is to just get more people into guns. And people do love guns.

Ruger Precision in 6.5. I love it.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.5 yearsNov 3, 2021 22:41:49 ago (+0/-0)

I originally wanted the 6.5. Common enough long range round. But after lots of umming and ahhing I decided on the 300winmag because I do a lot of large game shooting in valleys. Often seeing the targets pretty far out. I justified this decision by saying I can also share projectiles between the 308 and 300.

All that you just wrote is sad and it boils down to one thing. You don't attack the bear until it attacks you, and we've been running from the bear for far too long; There's nowhere left to run to, the time is coming to stand your ground.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:09:46 ago (+2/-0)

And there is the problem with owning guns to save yourself from the government. Stand YOUR ground, as an individual. Doesn't work.

[ - ] Love240 2 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:18:05 ago (+2/-0)*

That's all you've got, my guy. It won't work if you don't do it. I don't wear the muzzles. Works for me. I don't do the 'mandate'. Works for me. I don't do the 'injection'. Works for me. And I'm never going to.
You fucking say "NO.", stand your ground... or don't. It's your choice, nobody else's.

I'm real sick and tired of hearing "They made me do 'this'." "They make you wear 'that'." Do they have a gun to your head, demanding you do? No? Then they didn't make you, YOU CONSENTED.

And I didn't say anything about 'saving' you from the government. If you don't know Jesus, nothing is going to save you.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:23:13 ago (+2/-0)

I dont wear the masks and I do what I want, I also do not live in the city. The next step is that the cops arrest you for not wearing a mask. Which they are already trying to put in. That is where its game over before it starts. So what do you do? carry your gun around when you go out? game over. Unless you live in a developed area where every one has the exact same belief as you, it cant work.

You need numbers. And they need to be in one place. They will come 20 at a time to a house door and its over. Unless you have 20 inside to match, that they do not know about.

[ - ] Love240 0 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:33:10 ago (+1/-1)

I'm not getting arrested for 'not wearing a mask', I don't live in AUS. 'Next step' is pigs getting plugged for trying that commie crap in the state I reside in. I do carry my gun around with me everywhere, conceal carry a pistol (US).

Being met by 20 clowns at my door for what exactly? If they're there to force a 'shot' on me, they're getting M855 at whatever velocity a 16" barrel will throw it at them.

Look, I know this isn't a good situation here for anyone, but the US isn't AUS. We're going to get it bad too, don't get me wrong. It's just going to be different.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 04:04:33 ago (+2/-0)

Then the ideology you have of resisting doesnt apply here. Because without unifification in some form it is impossible here. Killing a few at the door in an isolated instance against one person turns those government deaths into martyrs.

But yeah, same bullshit, different colours.

[ - ] Love240 -1 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 04:25:04 ago (+0/-1)

sigh nodding in the affirmative If only a collective head-pulling-free-from-ass was to be had.

Where I am, It just doesn't make sense for them to try that here. They are the ones without the numbers, not us. But if they do, they will regret it. That's why I think it will be different. They can't have that. What with the US borders being completely open; I think we're going to get 'sprung' upon by the 'sleeper cells'. Not that they're not in AUS also... Paranoid or prepared, probably no difference at this point.

I wish all of you the best, Godspeed.

Head in asses is better than heads on pavements... A common thing in the last year here.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 1 point 2.5 yearsNov 3, 2021 04:41:46 ago (+1/-0)

Good post.

I am seriously considering purchasing a BLR in .308, found a place where I could get R class for hunting then B firearms licence in the state to purchase.
The next hold up is money and the bloody safe issue.

Are the shotguns anygood @12g? What about 24g +

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 1 point 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 02:57:30 ago (+1/-0)

Browning is out of my price range. Im a poor man who likes guns.

12g is great. It's also the cheapest ammo. 410, the smallest isnt common so its more expensive. 12g is effective against everything at close range. You can take out indian mynars, bunnies, goats, pigs, deer and light cars with the right rounds. It is one of the most versatile guns you can get it. A 12g can also get adapters to fire almost any other rifle round.

I was one of those officials whose job it was to bring about gun law reform - so...you're rubbing shoulders here with history, bro. Remember Hoddle St, then Spring St I think it was, an incident in Sydney, and then the incident that sent firearm ownership to the wall - PA.

And remember how John had to wear a bullet proof vest when addressing you lot. Was it Ted Drane who led you? Long time ago.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 3 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 02:59:32 ago (+3/-0)

Oh were you? I though you were one of those people who fought the germans to save the jews. I was in primary school when john howard was flinging his shit. So that makes you at least 42 years old, possibly much older. This make sense, as you seem to be senile.

[ - ] paul_neri 0 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:08:03 ago (+1/-1)

Thanks bro. I'm nearly 66 yo. I know, I know. The Internet is no place for old men but I don't look too old nor feel it.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 3 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:11:45 ago (+3/-0)

66 huh? Senility seems more and more like your explanation as time goes on. Perhaps you are chasing after lost youth here? Perhaps, you have a score to settle? Many many questions and so little answers.

[ - ] paul_neri 0 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:16:01 ago (+1/-1)

no mystery. Just muckin' about. Nothing else to do some days.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:20:31 ago (+2/-0)

Well, you keep calling people bro. So youre either acting cool, or youre from newzealand. But then you say stuff that only a monkey with its balls caught in a door with its hands tied to a keyboard would write.

[ - ] paul_neri 0 points 2.6 yearsNov 3, 2021 03:33:47 ago (+1/-1)

Thanks, nice turn-of-phrase.

Also never answering questions. So mysterious. There should be an unsolved mysteries episode on you.
