The “radical feminist” opera Sancta Susanna was recently presented at the Stuggart Opera in Germany. The result: 18 audience members required assistance due to shock and nausea. Three people even needed treatments from a doctor.
Humans usually feel nausea when around things that are foul, gross, putrid, and potentially dangerous. In other words, it is our bodies telling us to get the hell away. These 18 audience members got the message loud and clear. The opera does not only contain bloody scenes that are physically difficult to watch; it is the equivalent of poison to the soul.
Composed by Paul Hindemith, Sancta Susanna first premiered in Stuggart in 1921. However, the show was canceled due to its blasphemous content. Furthermore, Hindemith’s music was qualified as “degenerate.” Over a century later, performance artist Florentina Holzinger adapted the opera and took it to new levels of degeneracy. And, since the elite wants the masses to bask in Somodom and Gomorrah-levels of depravity, the show was not canceled; it was promoted. Would the show exist if it mocked any other religion? We all know the answer.
