Another great device ruined by a faggot designer     (technology)

I had great Sony MX3 headphones. When they died, I got the new Sony MX5 headphones. They are clearly designed by a retarded faggot. Buttons are so weak that I always end up pushing them by mistake. The on / off sensor is so crappy that it stops working when the head and ears are sweating. The control sensor is so crappy that it changes setting every time finger touches it.

Many devices that were good are now becoming junk because they are being designed by new faggot designers.

The cyber espionage group dubbed Evasive Panda (also known as StormBamboo and previously tracked as StromCloud) compromised an unnamed Internet Service Provider (ISP) in mid-2023 to push malicious software updates to target entities.

This incident marks a significant escalation in the sophistication of the group’s tactics.

Google illegally maintains monopoly over internet search, judge rules     (www.mercurynews.com)

https://www.mercurynews.com/2024/08/05/google-illegally-maintains-monopoly-over-internet-search-judge-rules/

WASHINGTON (AP) — A judge on Monday ruled that Google’s ubiquitous search engine has been illegally exploiting its dominance to squash competition and stifle innovation in a seismic decision that could shake up the internet and hobble one of the world’s best-known companies.

The highly anticipated decision issued by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta comes nearly a year after the start of a trial pitting the U.S. Justice Department against Google in the country’s biggest antitrust showdown in a quarter century.

After reviewing reams of evidence that included testimony from top executives at Google, Microsoft and Apple during last year’s 10-week trial, Mehta issued his potentially market-shifting decision three months after the two sides presented their closing arguments in early May.

“After having carefully considered and weighed the witness testimony and evidence, the court reaches the following conclusion: Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly,” Mehta wrote in his 277-page ruling.

Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber recently discussed the possibility of one day selling a mouse that customers can use "forever." The executive said such a mouse isn't "necessarily super far away" and will rely on software updates, likely delivered through a subscription model.

Extended Warranty - Update on 13th/14th Stability Issue
Information

Extended Warranty Support

Intel is committed to making sure all customers who have or are currently experiencing instability symptoms on their 13th and/or 14th Gen desktop processors are supported in the exchange process. We stand behind our products, and in the coming days we will be sharing more details on two-year extended warranty support for our boxed Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors.

In the meantime, if you are currently or previously experienced instability symptoms on your Intel Core 13th/14th Gen desktop system:

For users who purchased systems from OEM/System Integrators – please reach out to your system manufacturer’s support team for further assistance.

For users who purchased a boxed CPU – please reach out to ~Intel Customer Support~ for further assistance.

At the same time, we apologize for the delay in communications as this has been a challenging issue to unravel and definitively root cause.

Oxidation Issue

The Via Oxidation issue currently reported in the press is a minor one that was addressed with manufacturing improvements and screens in early 2023.

The issue was identified in late 2022, and with the manufacturing improvements and additional screens implemented Intel was able to confirm full removal of impacted processors in our supply chain by early 2024. However, on-shelf inventory may have persisted into early 2024 as a result.

Minor manufacturing issues are an inescapable fact with all silicon products. Intel continuously works with customers to troubleshoot and remediate product failure reports and provides public communications on product issues when the customer risk exceeds Intel quality control thresholds.

To be clear what's happening is someone is making an AI image like the picture of the building next to the water and then they're feeding it to another AI which is one of the three you see here by name and then giving it text instructions like zoom away and snow is falling etc. And in these cases it they started with two different images to make two different clips.

Right now these are free for limited use each day in other words you get an allotment of time each day and at least for cling you can make about four or five clips per day for free.

I guess he drinks like 8 diet cokes a day and still has the iq of ten of us. He had a portfolio in his teens that most adult coders probably don’t have. Dropped out of college. Id software was born out of apogee. Commander Keen was actually a work of brilliance / technical marvel for the time. Any modern coder slapped with their hardware back then would have just assumed it impossible.

https://www.telecompetitor.com/court-rules-fccs-universal-service-fund-unconstitutional/

Earlier today, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled that the framework through which the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) established the Universal Service Fund (USF) is unconstitutional.

The ruling stated that the USF is essentially a tax paid by consumers via telecommunications companies. While Congress gave the FCC authority to levy taxes — in Section 254 of the U.S. Code — the court believes such delegation of power does not meet the Supreme Court’s precedents.

What's the catch? The video goes into detail, with the AI program using the Lean proof assistant under the hood. There is an extra program for translating the natural language statements of the problems into a Lean statement, but it isn't reliable, so that was done by a human. The video shows diagrams for the geometry problem.

https://interestingengineering.com/transportation/embraer-world-1st-auto-takeoff-planes

in a first in the aviation industry, Embraer has introduced an automatic takeoff system on one of its commercial jets.

The Embraer Enhanced Takeoff System (E2TS) system is designed to provide its E2 passenger aircraft with an optimal profile and automated takeoff. This allows for increased fuel capacity, which extends the range and boosts the onboard payload.

The Brazilian manufacturer’s design claims to improve rotation and trajectory, reduce field length, and lessen pilot workload. Other than a software update, no aircraft modifications are required.

I'm not saying that's what this is but it's completely possible now in fact it's probably easy.
