How does a battery-operated pole saw get power to the saw?     (sawsreviewed.com)

https://sawsreviewed.com/pole-saws/guide/

I purchased a Victa battery-powered pole saw the other day and put it together (but yet to try it) and last night in bed it hit me that I didn't notice any wires from the battery to the saw so how did the thing work or was something missing which caused me some anxiety and stopped me getting to sleep. I had to go to the hardware store Bunnings (equivalent of Home Depot) to get oil (lubricant) for the thing and asked the guys there and one chap said the current passed due to a worm fitting or something but overall I didn't really understand and I didn't want to pursue it with them because I could tell they thought I was a mask-wearing poofter which was very unkind. I don't want to dismantle the pole just to see if I can figure it out when I have you to tell me.

CPU Heat Sink     (technology)

I bought a $45 heat sink because my stock CPU fan kept revving on my expensive new computer (pre-built due to lack of separate high-end video cards). I installed it several hours ago. My God, it is heaven. It is only slightly quieter during idle, but no more random whirling up in RPMs! I am so much more happier now.

(I bought the popular CoolerMaster 212 V2 model. Enter code FUCKYOU on newegg.com for 10% off, and don't forget to subscribe!)

So I was thinking about pagers.     (technology)

See,the thing about pagers is,doctors use them because they don't emit radiation. As such,I find myself wondering what system they use to negate the need for it and if it would be possible to set up a texting system with it similar to how text messages on smart phones work. It would basically be a 2 way pager with a touch screen.

Would this work and why isn't it used by more people?

https://appleinsider.com/articles/22/06/17/apple-music-spotify-amazon-lose-million-music-subscribers-in-uk

A new report claims that over one million UK subscribers have cancelled their streaming services such as Apple Music in Q1 2022, citing a need to save money.

Kantar Research also notes that there is a decline in the number of young people with music streaming subscriptions in the UK.

"With inflation rising to 9% in the United Kingdom and further rises in the cost of living expected," reports the company, "the rising cancellation rates of music subscriptions is evidence that British households are starting to prioritise the spending of their disposable income."

Pepper the robot is programmed with hundreds of jokes, and if you don't believe it, just ask her. The residents of the Estates nursing home in Roseville sure did as the robot made its national debut as a personal care assistant.
