Why owning property is under attack.     (politics)
submitted by Merlynn to politics 3.9 years ago (+7/-0)

Ok,it's like this. If you own something,it means you have a legally recognized right to it. It is "yours" and can't be taken from you. If you remove the right to ownership, you have no right to anything and it can all be legally taken from you. Your resources now belong to (((the people))),so you can't provide for yourself without land to build on and materials to build with. You have to rely on (((the people))) to provide for you. Which makes you a de facto ward of the state. They own you.

Put simply, giving up the right to own property is the first step to becoming property.

Unilever CEO Pledges Full Commitment to Israel in Groveling Letter to ADL Head Jonathan Greenblatt     (www.informationliberation.com)

http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=62415

Unilever CEO Alan Jope, the head of one of the biggest multinational corporations in the world, wrote a letter on Tuesday to Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt begging for forgiveness over Ben and Jerry's independent decision to end sales in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and pledging his full commitment to Israel.

Greenblatt responded by thanking Jope for his "unequivocal stance rejecting the BDS movement" but said they nonetheless "still urge Unilever to do whatever it can to convince the Ben and Jerry's board to change its position."

Senior officials from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations "said they appreciate Unilever's commitment to continue doing business in Israel, though their response doesn't go far enough," Haaretz reported. "They encouraged the company to use its reported legal ability to override Ben & Jerry's decision, praising the numerous state authorities investigating whether the decision violates anti-BDS laws."

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) moved last week to blacklist and sanction Unilever and Ben & Jerry's to punish them for "boycotting Israel."

Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford (R) demanded local authorities "immediately block the sale of all #Benandjerrys in the state and in any state-operated facility to align with" Oklahoma's anti-boycott of Israel law.

All that stuff conservatives tell us about the "free market" and the importance of being "free to choose" goes completely out the window when it comes to opposing the state of Israel.

American companies and the American people have no right to boycott Israel and no right to choose not to sell their products in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

You can boycott states in America, American companies and America itself all you'd like but if you boycott Israel you're going to have hell to pay!

Rockefeller Foundation Pledges $13.5 Million To Censor Health “Misinformation”     (thepulse.one)

https://thepulse.one/2021/07/19/rockefeller-foundation-pledges-13-5-million-to-censor-health-misinformation/

Excerpts:

The Rockefeller Foundation recently announced they will be putting forth $13.5 million in new funding to strengthen their efforts with regards to countering, according to them, “health mis- and disinformation – confusing, inaccurate, and and harmful information.”

This effort will be and has been a global one, as it’s now being listed as one of the biggest threats that faces our planet.

Vivek Murthy, the US surgeon general, who has accused companies including Facebook of “poisoning information” about coronavirus vaccines, said they were not doing enough to check the online proliferation of false claims. He did so while announcing this 13.5 million dollar initiative.

According to the Rockefeller foundation with regards to this new initiative combating misinformation,

The funding will support the design and evaluation of interventions, tools, and methods to build trust in Covid-19 vaccination efforts and counter inaccurate information, and research to understand how inaccurate health information impacts online and offline behaviors, the true cost of mis- and disinformation on health and economic outcomes, and what strategies might be most effective to counter and manage inaccurate and harmful information from malicious sources. Funded projects will provide a foundation for modern information and communication networks that better serve people and are better prepared to encourage actions and behaviors essential to public health response efforts. Detailed information is slated to be released by the end of 2021.

What is Act.il ? Israeli Intel Agents Launch New Covert Propaganda War Against Americans on US Soil      (www.winterwatch.net)
submitted by TFS to politics 3.9 years ago (+11/-2)

https://www.winterwatch.net/2021/07/foreign-intel-agents-launch-new-covert-propaganda-war-against-americans-on-us-soil/

Excerpts:

Act.il (Act-il.com in the U.S.) is a mobile app that serves as a platform for uniting, organizing, training and deploying international Hasbara.

Through the app, 12,000 pro-Israeli “volunteers” worldwide (but mostly in the U.S.) receive marching orders — or “missions” — from Israeli agents and operatives located at its headquarters in Herzliya, Israel. The app users’ missions are covert, vary widely in scope and include both online and offline tactics.

For completing missions, Act.il’s volunteer users get points and badges. Top-ranked users complete five or six missions a day, The Forward reports, and win prizes, receive a congratulatory letter from the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs or a doll of Israel’s founding Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion.

“But not everyone on the app was a mere volunteer,” The Intercept reports. A security flaw in the app that was exploited shortly after its launch exposed the email addresses of all of its registered users. A review of the email addresses by The Intercept revealed that dozens of the Act.il’s earliest users have connections to “organizations that funded or developed the app. That means Act.il, which purports to be a grassroots campaign, was essentially seeded with paid activists.”

Act.il’s stated goal is to push back against the BDS Movement; however, descriptions of its missions reported by media seem to indicate it’s going after any sort of discourse critical of Jews or Israel, as well as encouraging political action among voters of foreign governments such as the U.S.

The Forward reports Act.il is “a joint project of two Israeli not-for-profits, it is led by former Israeli [army] intelligence officers and has close ties to Israel’s intelligence services, its Ministry of Strategic Affairs and the late American-Jewish casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson.”

Act.il is a “new entry” into the “propaganda war” that boasts “thousands of mostly U.S.-based volunteers who can be directed from Israel into a social media swarm.” It’s CEO, Ben Yosef, himself an eight-year veteran of Israeli army intelligence, described the propaganda operation’s association with Israeli intel agents to The Forward: “We know each other …. We talk with each other. We work together.”

Act.il’s ‘Missions’

Israeli’s military and its domestic intelligence service, the Shin Bet, direct Act.il volunteers to get Facebook to remove videos “that call for violence against Jews or Israelis,” The Forward reports. (Um, I have seen videos that challenge their narrative, but have never seen videos on Youtube that called for violence against Jews or Israelis. Have you?)

In the news and social media space, Acti.il directs its hasbara-troll users to employ a tactic called “flooding,” which involves blasting a large amount of content at a particular news article or thread to distract the reader and dominate any discussion. For example, when something is identified as unflattering, Act.il will ask its volunteers to “leave a comment to uncover biased reporting” and “feel free to like other comments you agree with,” The Forward reports. It also provides users sample text to leave in comments section. Targets of Act.il flooding tactics have included RT, ABC News, The Kuwait Times and The Telegraph.

Unfathomable Chutzpah

Ironically, the new Israeli-intel app that trains American hasbara to perform covert propaganda ops against fellow Americans was launched with great fanfare in broad daylight on June 4, 2018 in New York City as part of the Celebrate Israel Parade.

Governor Andrew Cuomo served as honorary grand marshal of the parade and marched alongside Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan, who touted Act.il as part of the “Iron Dome of Truth” campaign with parent organization 4IL. (The video of Erdan’s speech in New York has been removed from Youtube.)

Free speech is paramount to preventing oppressive regimes and dictatorships. Attempts by foreign agents to thwart free speech and dissent in America is akin to an act of war on Americans and American democracy. Any American who participates in or defends such activity should have their citizenship revoked.

If Congress can tell Americans it’s illegal to organize dissent against Israel via BDS, and it’s acceptable for foreign Israeli intel agents to train Americans to suppress the speech of their fellow citizens and propagandize them, then we have truly become an Israel First nation. And then where does it stop?

There is a way the Internet community can help thwart this covert operation: Sign up to be a Act.il volunteer, get access to its “mission” list and then alert the public that a source is under attack by covert hasbara and Israeli intel operatives. By raising awareness of Act.il’s activities, the operation loses its “protective edge.” It would no longer be able to feign the appearance of general public support for Israel’s agenda. It would expose this operation for what it is: an online propaganda war launched by Israeli agents against Americans.

Concerned About (((BlackRock))) Pricing Out Home Buyers? Wait Until You Hear How Connected They Are To The Government     (dailycaller.com)

https://dailycaller.com/2021/07/23/blackrock-housing-market-biden-administration-federal-reserve-finance/

Excerpts:

BlackRock gained attention earlier this year after it was reported the asset manager was pricing middle class buyers out of the housing market, but the Wall Street firm has also become an increasingly influential player in the U.S. government.

Institutional investors, primarily banks and asset managers, have been buying up single-family houses to rent in recent years, a business model that could become a dominant force in the housing market and change the nature of home ownership, The Wall Street Journal reported in early June.

Hunter Housing Economics concluded homes that are built to rent account for around 6% of new homes built in the U.S. every year, a number that is expected to double by 2024. Wall Street has also bet billions on the built-to-rent market by investing in home building companies and are projected to put down an additional $40 billion over the next year, according to the WSJ.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has become a prime example of the so-called revolving door between Wall Street and Washington, according to Business Insider. At least three former high-ranking employees of the New York-based firm hold prominent roles in President Joe Biden’s administration.

Biden nominated Brian Deese to serve as director of the National Economic Council (NEC). He previously served as deputy director of both the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the NEC under former President Barack Obama. After his stint in the Obama administration, Deese joined BlackRock as global head of sustainable investing, according to the WSJ.

Jeff Hauser, director of the Revolving Door Project, a group that monitors corporate influence in government, told Reuters in November 2020 that BlackRock’s stake in policy decisions could compel Deese to “be absent from big chunks of his job.”

Biden nominated Adewale Adeyemo to serve as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He also worked in the Obama administration first as a senior international economics advisor in the Treasury Department and then as the former president’s deputy national security advisor for international economics. He later joined BlackRock as a senior advisor, according to WSJ.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ chief economic advisor Michael Pyle was formerly the global chief investment strategist at BlackRock, according to Bloomberg. Like his colleagues, Pyle also worked in the Obama administration and served in multiple roles in the NEC, OMB and Treasury Department.

BlackRock has also picked up a number of former U.S. government officials, including those who served in the Obama and Trump administrations as well as at the Federal Reserve.

Thomas Donilon, a former national security advisor to Obama, is now chairman of the asset manager’s research branch. Dalia Blass, a former Securities and Exchange Commission who ran the agency’s asset management division under former President Donald Trump, joined BlackRock in May as head of external affairs.

Coryann Stefansson, a former bank regulator at the Federal Reserve, joined BlackRock as managing director of the firm’s Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) unit in 2016. She left the role in 2019 and now works as a managing director at the financial services firm Citi, according to her LinkedIn.

BlackRock also played a prominent role aiding the Federal Reserve during both the global financial crisis of 2007-2009 and the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
