The Vinman's sense of meaning and melody in music is off the charts. This guy's level of ability, and his popularity totally don't match. He is currently playing for a band called UFO, which I haven't even started listening to. I've got so many albums I want to listen to extensively including some of Vinnie's solo albums.
Mess with those and think about the melody and it kind of all comes together. I've been struggling to even approach jazz for decades. Now I'm setting up loops and really flying over the melodies and in between notes. Now I have to work on eliminating mistakes. I never thought jazz was in the cards but I think i'm gonna ride this out for a while.
