and we had the worst bee problems this year that I've ever seen. I found a huge nest at the corner of my driveway and they were slick with how they hid their nest behind my bush but now that its leaves are dropping I found the nest. Its quite big. I was out in my driveway a couple months ago and kept hearing loud buzzing that sounded like a huge nest but could not find it. I know that sounds stupid but its true. I got stung more this year that I have for the last ten years. I got one sting that was the most painful shit I've ever felt and I've been stung a lot. I think i made an upload about it here and some said "oy vey you turned muh allergic". No, I'm not. Yellow and black jacket venom this year is fucking brutal. I know a few other people who got stung this year and they said the same thing. Most painful stings they ever felt.
Anyhoo, these deer are about to go into my freezer and I'm not even looking to do that shit right now mane. Also, for the past ten years I've had a lot of white deer roaming around. Its very weird. I also had a big ass almost solid white skunk back about 8 years ago. The deer this year just seem very brave. Before, if they were in my yard and I walked outside they would run off quickly. This year they just stand there. They walk all around us if we're sitting outside. No way they are all someones "pets".
I also have some awesome owls coming in every evening, which is normal for here. One is huge! A;; the ravens I have coming in still remember to not fuck with my garbage bins. We have an agreement after I killed one and sat him on the top of one of my bins. About 40+ gathered in the trees right after and had a funeral. Very eerie thing to see. I have Turkeys coming in and they seem retarded.
My wife has always been keen on styles from an era long gone. Like us, she shares a sentiment against architectural brutalism and much of what came after. I enjoy taking her to antique shops. Interesting how it’s only ever European blood running those antique shops.
Last year, I found an old glass object stamped with the name of a local corporation that had dissolved long ago. Searching for the address revealed the entire stretch of land had been completely redeveloped on what was once the outskirt of town. As far the internet was concerned, this place had never existed. (Which is another discussion to be had)
Having gotten to know the members of the Historical Society more than a year later, I found myself in the neighborhood of that old antique shop. Figured I’d see if there was any chance they still had that glass object. I caught the owner just as she was leaving and explained that I was looking for an item which I intended to donate to the historical society in my town. Remarkably, it was still available having been relocated onto a high shelf behind several other pieces of merchandise. Not only was she happy to help me find it, but decided she would give it to me for free as a donation to the historical society.
