When a mother packed her 5-year-old son’s lunchbox and placed a note inside, she never expected a response. When her child returned home, however, the mom found that the boy’s teacher had a few words for her. It didn’t end well.

If You Use Instagram & It's App, Delete The App & It Will Get Rid of the Ads     (SocialMedia)
submitted by Scyber to SocialMedia 10 months ago (+6/-0)
1 comments last comment...
I use IG to keep in touch with friends and family that are out of state and last week my messages disappeared on the site so I downloaded the app. The next day my IG feed was spammed with ads - every 5th or 6th post was an ad so I deleted the app & the ads stopped within 24hrs.
I always hate using apps when I can just access the site, and when when FB required users to download the message app I dropped fagbook immediately.
I ain't got time for that jive turkey bullshit.

Twitter is threatening to sue Meta over Threads     (www.semafor.com)

https://www.semafor.com/article/07/06/2023/twitter-is-threatening-to-sue-meta-over-threads

TL;DR: Twitter's lawyers accused Meta of hiring dozens of former Twitter employees who “had and continue to have access to Twitter’s trade secrets and other highly confidential information.”
(Lawyers) also alleged that Meta assigned those employees to develop “Meta’s copycat ‘Threads’ app with the specific intent that they use Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property in order to accelerate the development of Meta’s competing app, in violation of both state and federal law as well as those employees’ ongoing obligations to Twitter.”
