Sooner or later, you have to.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, a majority of Americans, 57%, are willing to concede that the election outcomes may have been influenced by cheating. And, interestingly, it would appear that a majority believe mail-in balloting has become the vehicle for this.

It's the same states that seem to keep having problems counting in a timely fashion, and election officials there conventionally blame all their counting woes on the vast number of mail-ins. It's also those same states where the close elections always tip in favor of the Democrats as the counting goes on and batches of ballots keep appearing.

And, of course, the media is right there to explain that this is just how it works, and everyone has to just calm down. However, and this is where the rubber hits the road, there is an unwillingness to actually deal with the actual reality underlying any chicanery that has taken place.

If cheating has happened — now in two successive elections — it is proof that we have reached the point in America where it can happen. It should never have gotten to this point, but it has.

It's almost like the superior team complaining about a bad referee call that cost them the game against an inferior foe. While that may be true and maybe even very likely, if the team was so good, it should never have been in that position to begin with — where the entire game comes down to a bad call.

But that's where American politics has now descended to. A majority of Americans are, at least, suspicious and distrusting of the outcome, and so what? Are there mass protests in the streets like in Venezuela?

Are there demonstrations in front of governors' mansions in the affected states? Are there pickets outside the homes of the secretaries of state who were likely involved in all this (if indeed it did happen)?

For that matter, where were all the voters, years ago, when the Marxists were slowly taking control and putting themselves in a position to steal outcomes?

Here's the bottom line, the reality that needs to be squarely faced: America simply has not suffered enough yet. It will. Oh, it certainly will.

A soul damned to Hell.

The realities of Hell and our inability or unwillingness to conceptualize it come to the forefront in this episode of "The One True Faith". Using a fictional "average Joe" character to help illustrate the concepts, in this episode, host Michael Voris paints a vivid and horrific picture of the afterlife.

Make the right buy.

In these troubling times — times, it appears, are only going to grow more troubling — various knee-jerk reactions have set in with some good people. Emotionally ill-equipped for the abyss of evil they find themselves staring into, they either deny it or downplay its significance.

They routinely poo-poo the reality of the crisis — attacking the messengers, making up excuses; whatever works best for them. You can refer to this group as the "whistling-past-the-graveyard gang."

But there is another very common "knee-jerk reaction crowd" as well. We can call this gang "the silver bullet contingent." They understand the evil and its depth facing them square in the face, but instead of admitting the long-haul battle needed to combat it, they scramble about for a silver bullet — the easy-way-out approach.

So they are more inclined to turn to prophecies and visions and inner locutions. They follow after anyone who comes along with a quick cure for what ails the world.

Both types, the whistle-past-the-graveyard gang and the silver-bullet contingent, are off base. They may be motivated by good intentions of wanting things to be right, but as the old saying goes — one that exists for a reason — the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

What needs to be embraced, in all its horror and consequent realities, is this: The world, including the Church, did not arrive at this point suddenly — and it will not pull back from it with denial or a quick cure. Where we are was arrived at over a long period of time: many players, many moving parts but one goal in mind — the destruction of Catholicism.

And by this, you will know them.

Advent has arrived once again, and with its arrival, the twisted theology of the "homoheretics" is in full bloom as well, never missing an opportunity to make the sinful acceptable.

James Martin, a "gay theology" priest of the gay-riddled Jesuits, has kicked the season off quite well. And, as usual, expect no recrimination from any bishop or superior, not even a word of caution to the laity.

On Sunday, Martin tweeted out the following: "Gospel: Something new is coming. That's the message for the First Sunday of Advent. The key is noticing. 'Stay awake,' as Jesus says today. "A Gospel meditation here."

Martin claims the message for Advent is noticing that "something new is coming." He calls that noticing key. That's stupid. That's not the message, nor is it what's key about the first Sunday of Advent or any of the Sundays of Advent. Advent is about the second coming of Christ, also known as the Day of Judgment.

The inane claim that we are all supposed to just stand around and notice the King-Judge of Heaven returning to bring history to a close and render our final judgment? Come on, Jimmy. I don't think anyone will have to try and notice Christ on the clouds of Heaven. It'll be pretty obvious.

Then he goes on and links his hundreds of thousands of deceived followers to a Facebook link, with a tidy little "meditation" to ponder. The drivel drives the reader into a false belief that Advent is really just all about desire.

No, Jimmy. Advent is about preparation for our deaths when we will each face our personal judgment and be pronounced saved or damned. That is a day-to-day theme for every person, but in Advent, in particular, it is set against the backdrop of the last day, the general judgment.

There is a little link at the end of the wildly misleading meditation which takes the reader to the group "Outreach," an LGBTQ "Catholic" resource. That group espouses all the usual pro-sodomy propaganda you would imagine, dressing it up as Catholic.

Martin and his co-gay, wicked allies are the absolute masters at distorting everything they can in Scripture, to give the "Good Housekeeping" seal of approval to sins of the flesh, especially gay sex. Of course, they have a dog in that fight, so that's to be expected.

Notice that Evil Jimmy, while lauding the "beauty" of the first reading from Isaiah and distorting the words of Our Lord in the gospel, deftly managed to completely avoid the second reading — St. Paul's Letter to the Romans, with its dire warning about the need to change our lives, lest we be damned:

"Let us then throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves properly as in the day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and lust. ... Make no provision for the desires of the flesh." Hmm, we wonder why that line didn't get the high-profile visibility.

Nah. Actually, we don't wonder at all. We know why, and so do you, and so does James Martin. That line is as plain as the evil in Martin's writings, which is to say, as plain as the nose on your face.

How can they face the truth?

There is a massive lie within the gay community (among many) that within the Church, homosexual priests are not the problem when it comes to clerical sex abuse. That is an enormous lie, a Joseph Goebbels–sized lie.

Consider this one simple reality, a known fact: More than four out of every five sex abuse victims were postpubescent boys. That is the very definition of homosexual.

Those numbers, for the record, are from the U.S. bishops' own report they commissioned through the college of John Jay in 2004. But two years before that report, Wilton Gregory, who was president of the bishops' conference at the time, admitted that it was a homosexual problem.

Remember the timeline here: The Boston Globe dropped its first bombshell report on the clerical sex abuse crisis in January 2002. The paper kept rolling out investigative report after investigative report showing massive sex abuse and cover-up by bishops.

Three months later — April 23, 2002 — then-Bp. Wilton Gregory stood in front of a crowded press office in the Vatican and publicly stated the following: "It is an ongoing struggle to make sure that the Catholic priesthood is not dominated by homosexual men." His comments came directly in reference to the sex abuse crisis.

Likewise, in that exact same context and international press conference, Pope John Paul's spokesman, Joaquín Navarro-Valls said, "People with these inclinations just can't be ordained."

As further proof, Church Militant has obtained a secret 12-page email sent to all the nation's bishops in June 2002. It's from the Catholic Medical Association and reveals the full scope of not only the tragedy, but that bishops were informed by their own professionals that this was indeed a homosexual crisis.

What you were never supposed to see.

As we showed you in yesterday's Vortex, Church Militant has come into possession of a secret email sent to all the U.S. bishops more than 20 years ago. It's from the Catholic Medical Association, and it outlines the serious, grave issue of homosexuality within the clergy and how it is the cause of the sex abuse crisis.

We are making the email available to you for your own viewing, downloading, printing and general distribution. Just click on the provided link. It details not only the homosexual nature of the sex abuse crisis but goes on to make a very serious case against ordaining men with same-sex attraction.

It goes into incredible detail, from a psychiatric perspective, of the dangers of these men in the clergy. At one point, a very telling line says, "Priests should be screened for homosexuality by their bishops or religious superiors prior to being considered for a position of responsibility in a diocese, religious community, or in the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops."

That conclusion raises the very serious question of just how Msgr. Jeffrey Burrill is now the pastor of a La Crosse, Wisconsin, parish. He was just made pastor by his bishop, William Callahan. Callahan is the same bishop who kicked out Fr. James Altman for saying Democrats can't be voted for because they kill children, and the pandemic was a scam.

Time to choose.

There are many ways a person can be deceived by another. You can be directly lied to, of course. That's obvious, but you can also simply not be told the truth, deliberately, even when you have a right to know it. Under this category of not being told the truth, you can simply be ignored, or you can be told a bunch of stuff that really only serves as a deflection — a kind of "deflection deception."

And, of course, a combination of all of that can also be rolled out in a deliberate effort to keep someone in the dark. In the world of so-called Catholic so-called media, the practice of deflection deception is institutionalized policy. In fact, there is almost no difference between the likes of CNN and the run-of-the-mill "Catholic" media.

CNN deliberately lies, and the Catholic media world deflects, but in the end, the same goal is achieved — you are left without the important truth. Case in point: this 12-page secret email we've been showing you for the past couple of episodes.

We've attached the link for you to read it for yourselves. We didn't make this up, fabricate or conspire about it. There it is — just click on the link in plain view for anyone to open up and read, especially so-called journalists who claim to be reporting on affairs in the Church.

The details laid out in this email, sent to the nation's bishops 20 years ago by the Catholic Medical Association, are, in a word, explosive. It exposes that the U.S. hierarchy had indeed been warned about the dangers of homosexual men in seminary and the clergy despite their claims otherwise.

If anything ever qualified as a smoking gun, condemning the bishops' inaction and lies and cover-up, this is it. On the first page, it even recounts that Wilton Gregory, in an international press conference in Rome in April 2002, admitted the sex abuse crisis was owing to homosexuals in the clergy.

And what did the bishops do? Nothing. Then, two years later, they lied in the infamous John Jay Report and said it didn't have anything to do with that. Here is the proof they were told about all this.

So now the question must be asked of the Catholic media:

- EWTN, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Relevant Radio, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Catholic News Agency, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Catholic News Service, why aren't you reporting this story?
- National Catholic Register, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Our Sunday Visitor, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Ave Maria Radio, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Catholic Answers, why aren't you reporting this story?
- National Catholic Reporter, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Crux, why aren't you reporting this story?
- America Magazine, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Zenit, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Catholic Review, why aren't you reporting this story?
- The Pillar, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Aleteia, why aren't you reporting this story?
- U.S. Catholic, why aren't you reporting this story?
- The Tablet, why aren't you reporting this story?
- Chicago Catholic, why aren't you reporting this story?

There are dozens more, but the point is well made. The answer to that question is the same for all these outlets: They have a dog in this fight and will not report the truth because it comes back and hurts them. Most of those outfits are completely dependent on staying in the good graces of the bishops. One cross word or report that the bishops have been (and still are) lying profusely about the homosexual problem in their ranks, and they will be out of business.

Some of those outfits are Marxist "Catholics," and the last thing they want to print is something/anything that runs against their LGBTQ-propaganda narrative — even if it is the truth. Yet truth is the currency of the media. Without it, you have nothing to sell, nothing to beg for donations with.

People often ask us, How come the bishops never seem to be accountable for all this evil and destruction of the Faith? The answer to that question is right here: There are dozens and dozens of so-called media (pretend journalists) who insulate them from criticism.

The root of every trouble.

Today is the two-year anniversary of the grand opening of our completely overhauled studio and chapel, from where we are able to bring you all our programming each day. Many hundreds of you contributed to our expansion effort back then, and we would like to once again thank you for your generosity.

As you know, this operation is quite costly to maintain, and we are once again, as the end of the year approaches, appealing to your generosity to help maintain us as the leaders in bringing authentic Catholicism to our millions of viewers. Thank you in advance for your end-of-year gift, which you can make by simply clicking on the provided "donate" button.

When we look out at the culture and see the wars over Elon Musk's Twitter world and the full-scale battle playing out in Arizona in the governor's race, not to mention the constant inter-Nicene battles raging in the Church over doctrine and discipline, What's really going on? is a good question.

The answer is pretty simple, actually. It's a war over truth. Call them the "truth wars." Truth seems to be an elusive item these days and certainly a rare commodity, as all sides lay claim to it — but it cannot be the case that everyone is right. Yet somehow that proposition is put forward, at least by some.

It's the cry of the "your truth/my truth" brigade, as though truth is somehow in the eyes of the beholder. But notice, no one who claims that, actually lives according to that proposition — or if they do, they soon find out in short order that they do not get to claim their own personalized truth.

But for most people, that the world is round, gravity exists, two plus two equals four, and so forth, are truths — or, better stated, examples of natural truth. It's not a great leap. The refusal to accept natural truth almost always has immediate unhappy consequences.

But where outcomes or consequences can be delayed and altered for a desired outcome, then truth becomes very flexible. It can either be ignored or embellished or whitewashed or even lied about if the reward is valued more highly than the truth itself.

This seems to be the lifeblood of most media outlets, Catholic as well as secular. It likewise appears to be the dominant strain in interpersonal relationships, the professional world, the world of commerce and so forth. It has even found its way into the Church and the expression of religious doctrine.

The refusal to accept religious truth is what lies at the root of the nation's woes as well as those of the Catholic Church's leaders. Unlike natural truths, which have almost an immediate ramification when ignored, the ramifications of refusing to accept supernatural truth often unfold over time — but by the time it begins to be felt, it's often too late.

Channels of grace mean nothing for the person.

Thanks in advance for your generosity in donating to our work here in always presenting authentic Catholicism. You can make your end-of-year donation by clicking on the provided link.

There is a prevalent view that a man involved in good works is on his way to Heaven — that salvation is either assured or demonstrated, depending on which theological square you may be standing on.

There are, for example, many involved in the very important work of pro-life activism or feeding the poor or helping out at soup kitchens or teaching the Faith. All of that is laudable and, of course, needs to be done.

But a serious question for the individual here arises: Is it possible to be involved in such work, even if it's your life's work, and still be damned? Well, of course it is.

The distinction was made by St. Bernard when he spoke of the difference (in the spiritual life) between being a channel versus being a reservoir.

Hear him:

The channels let the water flow away, and do not retain a drop. But the reservoir is first filled, and then, without emptying itself, pours out its overflow, which is ever renewed, over the fields which it waters. How many there are that are devoted to works, who are never anything but channels, and retain nothing for themselves, but remain dry while trying to pass on life-giving grace to souls! We have many channels in the Church today, but very few reservoirs.

Consider: Even the work of sinners and the (eventually) damned, God uses in His providence. He even uses Satan's malice for His own end.

The damned Apostle Judas was a channel of grace. Pontius Pilate was a channel of grace. Annas and Caiaphas were both channels of grace.

Satan has many tricks to fool people into a false sense of security about their own eternal fate, even those working within the Church and doing objectively good things. Saint Paul warned of this, and most importantly, so, too, did the Son of God.

He recounts what it will be like for some of His followers when judgment comes, and they are refused entry into the heavenly banquet. In what has always struck me personally as the most horrifying words in all of Sacred Scripture, He says to them, Go away; I tell you solemnly I do not know you.

This, from the divine lips, even after they recount their close association with Him and works for Him — Go away; I do not know you.

The truth always comes out.

A little more than a year ago, Church Militant hosted a New Orleans sex abuse victim here in the studio and interviewed him about his tragic story. Local media outlets, as well as documentary makers, provided extensive coverage of his case in the archdiocese of New Orleans.

[Transcript unavailable]

During our interview, recorded at Church Militant in November of 2021, Richard Windmann dropped a bomb.

[Transcript unavailable]

We sat on this interview for more than a year while we checked it out. Immediately after hearing this information from Richard Windmann, we directly texted Abp. Aymond with the following text:

"Hello, Archbishop. This is Michael Voris from Church Militant, and we have received some reports that you personally sexually abused a man who was a former seminarian, and another case where you abused a minor male. Do you have any comment for us?"

We sent that text at 7:34 p.m. ET on Nov. 2. That was 6:34 Abp. Aymond's time. We received no response from him. But the next morning, we received a call from his communications director, who immediately asked me if we could talk off the record. I told her no. Reporters should never give away their right to report, because they would enter into an agreement without knowing the terms.

The specific charge, which Church Militant sat on for more than a year as we vetted it ourselves, involves a former seminarian of Aymond. He alleges that Aymond, as rector of the seminary, groped and touched him and made a pass at him after he went to him to complain of fellow seminarians coming on to him.

Notre Dame seminary has, for years, had a notorious reputation for being a homosexual hotbed, earning it the nickname "Notre Flame." Aymond was rector during some of those years

They need to open the books, immediately.

Just before we begin, we'd like to say "thank you" to everyone who has contributed to our End of the Year Campaign as well as invite those of you who have not yet done so to please click on the provided link.

As you know, Church Militant reports on affairs in the Church that damage souls and cripple the spread of the gospel message, and we do it like few others. It costs a lot to run this operation, so your donations are necessary and much appreciated.

And in keeping with that type of reporting, Church Militant has been made aware of what one person with knowledge described as a "giant slush fund" for the U.S. bishops. It appears to pass as an insurance company called Catholic Mutual, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, in a $9-million building that doesn't seem to have many workers (at least judging from the parking lot during regular working hours).

It is an insurance company. In fact, it is a massive insurance company. But on its website — and here's the really weird twist — Catholic Mutual says plainly, "As part of the Catholic Church, Catholic Mutual is the leading provider of property, liability and employee-benefit coverage ... currently serving 134 dioceses and archdioceses and 200 Catholic religious orders."

There are some strange things here. For example, the line that Catholic Mutual is "part of the Catholic Church" is a little vague. It's actually yes and no. It's true that bishops of the Church run the insurance agency. Church Militant has learned it's actually listed as its own church, but there doesn't appear to be any specific, direct tie to the Church.

We are freed if only we want to be.

Catholic hymns — meaning sacred songs — are wonderful teaching aids. Deep truths are translated into simple lyrics and transmitted to meditative rhythms.

For example, the beautiful hymn "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" is a huge favorite. Every line is pregnant with deep theology, but one verse, in particular, has a very revealing line.

[Transcript unavailable]

The world (creation) is ordered by God, and it's not just ordered but ordered mightily. The power of the Holy Trinity transcends all creation and keeps it in existence — keeping it in right relation to Him, to Itself and to each other.

The breath of the Holy Spirit permeates all life and blows its life into everything, making us partakers in the divine life — echoing that we are made in the image and likeness of God. God the Holy Spirit keeps all immersed in the mighty order established by the Creator.

However, when man used his God-given free will to transgress and go astray, God did not abandon him. He sent a Savior, ordained in the divine mind from all eternity, to take us back from the power and rule of Satan. The entirety of Catholic life is summed up in this truth, as well as this verse.

[Transcript unavailable]

What we anticipate here in Advent and celebrate at Christmas is the very truth that we are saved from Satan's power if we only embrace salvation. This is the good news.

Man's natural destiny is damnation; he is unable to save himself. But God's love for man — even to the point of sending his own Son as our Savior — is indeed a cause of comfort as well as joy.

Who is reporting is just as important as what is being reported.

As the culture and Church continue crumbling around us, it's important to make sure you tune in to (plug in to) a reliable source for your news.

But no organization bringing you truthful takes on the news operates in the ether, out "there."

Such an organization in the Catholic world is completely dependent on the people bringing you the news — that they are completely faithful.

They can't be supportive of schism or heresy or anything of the like. That's why it's important for you to know who is bringing you the news.

Here at Church Militant, we have an incredible group of producers and reporters with degrees in theology, lots of experience and proper training in actual journalism (not just point-of-view pieces).

Bottom line: If it isn't rooted solidly in actual Catholicism, you can be easily misled.

Recently we gathered a group of Church Militant reporters and produced a roundtable with them, so you can get to know them better. Here are some portions of that Church Militant reporter roundtable.

[Transcript unavailable]

If you'd like to watch the whole jam session, please click on the provided link. It's critical you know the backgrounds and faithfulness to authentic Catholicism of those who bring you Catholic news.

Again, just click on the link — we think you'll really enjoy it.

Another unsolved mystery.

On Feb. 13, 2004, Fr. John Minkler was called into a private meeting with Bp. Howard Hubbard in the diocese of Albany, New York. Two days later, Minkler was dead. In this first-ever, in-depth investigation into the death of the whistleblower priest, Christine Niles tries to answer the question, What happened to Fr. Minkler?

From top to bottom.

By now, every connected Catholic has heard the news about Fr. Frank Pavone not just being silenced but kicked out of the priesthood. Until Church Militant was able to obtain a copy of the official letter, the only public source was an article published in Catholic News Agency, which is owned by EWTN. Since Mother Angelica was forced to step down from her leadership role at the network, there are serious questions surrounding EWTN and, now, CNA's integrity.

In a story this explosive, credibility and integrity are everything. To that point, full disclosure: I have personally known Fr. Pavone since our overlapping days at St. Joseph's Seminary in New York, known as Dunwoodie back in the late 1980s. He was every bit committed to the cause of life then as he is now.

We have been in touch multiple times over the many years we have known each other, and this time is no different. I spoke with Father, Sunday (late morning), and we spoke for about 40 minutes. He was not evasive or nontransparent. Every question I put to him, he answered directly. Transparency is the heart of the claim here.

Catholic News Agency, which seems woefully unaware of journalistic standards, has still not, as of this recording, published the letter. Church Militant has — it's right there, available by clicking on the link. Yet CNA, in a major breach of journalistic professionalism, sent an email to Fr. Pavone asking for his response to a letter he had not seen nor was even aware of. In the news world, you just do not do that.

It's a breach of every ethical standard to essentially blackmail someone to respond to something about him that the person has not seen, and — very important here —  that you will not show him. This leads to the much larger question of credibility and corruption, and the lack of justice and just plain old fairness, which is now standard in the Church. Bishops will not answer questions. The Catholic media who obey them don't play by the ethical rules, and no one gets to question the bishops or their lackeys or their tactics.

To report this story at all without also publishing the letter is a crossing of the journalistic line, which is just the latest in a long series of such crossings. So, as it stands now, the hierarchy once again has its way. A priest who challenged corruption routinely is shunted to the sidelines.

They have no accountability for their actions, no transparency, no having to explain anything, and their little in-house mouthpiece posing as a "news" agency gets to break the code of professional conduct to carry their water. And, again, they are likewise unaccountable. The Catholic media world is a joke. And then, of course, looking to capitalize on the news, there are the expected calls to go into schism from that side of the nutjob world.

One major outfit has, of course, cranked up the sign-this-petition machinery to get your email and later send you donation requests. It's disgusting. But one thing that did come out loud and clear and without any question surrounding it: Fr. Pavone said, in the face of all this, "I'm sticking with the Church. No matter how corrupt the various clergy may be, it's never an excuse to go into schism or heresy."

Which is worse?

We are in Texas, on assignment for a couple of days, but the Fr. Frank Pavone story is still dominating headlines in the Catholic world. The way the Church has handled this case has done nothing except continue to erode trust in the bishops.

That they can't see that (what everyone else clearly sees) is extremely disturbing. But then again, this is how these men operate. Nothing is ever transparent. Almost nothing is done above board. You can't get a straight answer about anything out of anyone attached to the establishment.

Without my speaking to specifics of the ruling from Rome that Frank Pavone has been laicized, look at everything else surrounding this case. As we discussed yesterday in The Vortex, a letter to the bishops from apostolic nuncio Abp. Christophe Pierre was leaked from inside to the Catholic News Agency.

Why? What was the purpose of leaking that letter? Who leaked it, even before Pavone or his canonist had been informed of the Holy See's decision (which had been made a whole month earlier)? Bad form, fellows, even for your lot. Imagine being delivered a death sentence, which laicization is for a priest, and everyone else knowing it before you. And then, broadening the circle, we have to engage in some what-about questions. What about James Martin and his case compared to Frank Pavone's? That is a more than fair comparison to be made.

And people of goodwill look at all this and rightly protest not necessarily the decision to kick out Fr. Pavone (a decision shrouded in secrecy and God knows what else, including the possibility of ill will) but the hypocrisy of saying disobedience to a local bishop is so bad, but disobedience to the teachings of the Church — not so much.

That is what is at the heart of the outrage. And bishops, that outrage is merited and your lot owns every bit of it. You are detestable cowards who run the Church like your own private fiefdom. That doesn't mean you don't have the authority — you absolutely do. But your abuse of that authority will damn the lot of you. Just as any other person who betrays a trust, an authority, an oath. Repent, or die in your sins. And no amount of talking points or a nice little memo from a nuncio will get a hearing at your judgment.

James Martin needs to be kicked out of the priesthood, and someone needs to file a canon law case against him for heresy. Heresy is far worse than blasphemy. The bishops won't because he's one of them. That will not bode well when they are being charged by the Supreme Shepherd with disobedience to Him.

Things get worse before they get better. Really?

A very holy, happy Christmas to you and all those dear to you. First off, thank you to all of you for your support and encouragement throughout this year and especially in this end-of-the-year fundraiser. Your support of our work is critical, so, again, thank you. Please click on the provided link to make whatever donation you are capable of.

Surveying the collapse of nearly all that is good, certainly on a large scale, many people are stunned, shocked — especially those of us old enough to remember a Church and nation in much different shape. That we actually sit around and have debates, discussions or even just read headlines about 10-year-olds, for example, undergoing operations to change the appearance of their bodies to the opposite sex — it's completely nuts.

No one could have thought, even one generation ago, that any of the current conditions would be so prevalent, yet here we are. All of this, of course, suggests that things will get worse. On that score, we often hear the expression "Things will get a lot worse before they get better." The first part of that is certainly true, but the back half, "before they get better," has in there an assumption not rooted in anything realistic.

Who says things will "get better" or that there is some magical trajectory that things always improve? Most of humanity is damned. It certainly doesn't apply in the spiritual war, so why would anyone think it applies in the natural order of events? It's a Pollyanna reading of historical events. Left to their own natural arrangement, things get worse, not better.

Here at CM, we are part of the Church Militant.

First off, thank you to those of you who are donating to our end-of-the-year campaign. It is very much appreciated and keeps us doing the vital work we do. For those of you who have not yet donated and are of a mind to do so, please click on the link below and donate today — and thank you in advance.

And speaking of the vital work we do here at Church Militant and St. Michael's Media, what exactly is that work? Ultimately, it's to be used to help save souls, which is, actually, the work of every baptized soul in the Church Militant. A number of people in social media seem to be completely unaware of what that term means or what we do here in relation to it.

First, the Nicene Creed (formulated almost a century before the Bible and the foundational list of beliefs of anyone baptized) contains the basic concept right there in the explicit announcement of belief in the communion of saints. It's almost entirely overlooked by virtually every Protestant denomination there is, but you can add to that list a failure on the part of most Catholics.

As an aside, someone is going to need to sit down with me one day and explain how someone can be so adamant in expressing a theological belief but have almost not the slightest bit of knowledge about what it is they profess to believe. It's kind of disingenuous.

Anyway, for those Catholics who go to Mass and, every single Sunday, say they believe in the communion of saints but don't have any real concept of what they are professing belief in, here it is in a nutshell: The baptized who are in a state of grace (as opposed to mortal sin), are viewed from three perspectives. Those in Heaven, who have attained the beatific vision (meaning, seeing God in the face as He really is, the vision of the blessed), these comprise the Church Triumphant.

They have attained salvation and so merited it by cooperating with the graces afforded them by Our Lord's redemption for us on the Cross. Sidebar again — redemption and salvation are two entirely different things. Bad Catholics and almost all Protestants have this completely wrong. Redemption means that the guilt of our sins on the spiritual plane has been paid for and we are now able to be saved, not that we are.

Church Militant 2.0.

Our thanks to all of you, once again, for your continuing support and generosity for the work we do here each and every day, as we turn the page on 2022 and look ahead to 2023. If you'd like to contribute to our end-of-2022 fundraiser, please just click on the provided link below — and thank you in advance.

We are very aware of the sacrifice many of you make on our behalf, especially in this current economy, which, by all predictions, isn't going to get any easier in the coming year. And speaking of 2023, in the next few weeks, we will be making some visible changes to our content presentation.

Every now and then in the media world, it's necessary to change things up a bit and produce things in a new and improved fashion — and you can look forward to this coming soon. In preparation, in the last few weeks, we've shortened the time of our Evening News program so we can direct more resources to new programming.

It takes a lot of people here working, not just on camera but especially behind the scenes, to crank out the volume of news, information and commentary Church Militant produces each day — and, unfortunately, we don't have unlimited resources. So we are redistributing the workload to bring you even more analysis and commentary, not just in the area of straight-up theology and faith life, but, just as importantly, in the application — the relevance of the Faith in everyday life.

Unless you're a hermit who has taken certain vows to live apart from the world as much as humanly possible in isolation from day-to-day life, then walking through the world and understanding daily the relevance of our faith is critical. Our Lord sent His followers into the world to baptize it and make disciples of all nations.

But given the complexities of today's world, the never-ending news cycle and what often appears as one debilitating effect after another (especially in the Church), the Great Commission, as it is called, can sometimes seem next to impossible. Even faithful Catholics can seem buffeted and tossed about by modern life with its constant barrage of sadness, confusion and distraction.

Evil — the power of Hell — is much stronger than our frail, fallen ability to withstand it. We cannot save ourselves. Left to our own devices, evil will always crush us underfoot. It's for this reason that the Eternal Logos was incarnated and then established a Church to last throughout time, and if we enter into it and remain faithful (even when we fall), that victory could be achieved.

That is the good news. The fight now has meaning. The victory can be won. Heaven has provided an opportunity, a tiny crack through which we can escape the pains of this world and the everlasting flames and torments of the next. For 2,000 years, this has been the view and understanding of the Church (the saints, the Fathers, the Doctors, the martyrs).

Each successive generation has had to plow through the world on the way to meriting salvation, made possible only because of the love and mercy of God. But those two parts there — the world and salvation — bring about a dynamic tension in our lives. Our faith lives must win out, but that cannot happen in isolation from the world.

In fact, Abp. Sheen used to refer to the world as the "theater of redemption." Correct! Our Lord has redeemed us — something we could never have done on our own. It's why His chief way of being understood is as savior, not teacher (although He obviously taught) or miracle worker (although He obviously performed miracles) but as savior, the bringer of salvation.

That’s what's needed in the Church.

With the death and burial of Pope Benedict now in the past, whatever small modicum of decorum or standing on protocol that the crazies in the Vatican and throughout the larger Church may have exercised will surely be gone now.

The machinery of the Church has been overrun from within and turned into a propaganda outfit for the new world order run by the likes of Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau and many others.

In fact, the co-opting of the Church was a necessary step in all this for them because it "baptized" their efforts, putting a respectable face on super-control efforts like climate change, the destruction of borders, pandemics and so forth.

When Antonio Gramsci founded the Italian Communist Party a hundred years ago, he wrote that the biggest obstacle to world domination would be the Catholic Church.

The Church is not only universal (which is the definition of the Greek word from which we derive "Catholic") in its teachings and doctrines and theology, it's also just plain old normal universal; it's everywhere.

Looks more like constant retreat.

A few years back, I was visiting with a noted archbishop in his office about the dire state of the Church and, consequently, the world. I asked him if he and other bishops of his mind huddled up regularly, called each other, got together, formed organizations with each other, sat on each other's boards of directors and so forth. He looked at me somewhat puzzled, and I said, "Well, your enemies in the episcopate do that!"

He answered me back and said, "Well, no. We don't. Conservatives tend to conserve." And that right there is a perfect sum up of everything wrong in the Church (as well as the world) when it comes to the so-called "good guys."

"Conservatives" — whatever that empty term has now come to mean — are delusional. They fail to either understand or admit that their enemies play for keeps and want us dead. There seems to be this "Marquess of Queensberry Rules" approach to the political and mostly spiritual battle raging around us, like politeness should rule the day. But what is spoken of as politeness and "charity" is really just a mask covering cowardice. It's an unwillingness to go to war and not do what needs to be done.

Yep. Believe it.

In its continuing effort to supposedly save the planet and people's lives, the Party of Death now has its eyes trained squarely on the gas stoves in Americans' homes.

It was such an over-the-top claim that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission immediately had to backpedal and issue a follow-up statement — eerily reminiscent of Obama telling the country to calm down about Obamacare — saying that if you like your gas stove, you can keep your gas stove.

About one-third of the 40 million U.S. homes use gas stoves, and in an effort to get rid of them, Democrats built massive tax credits into their so-called Inflation Reduction Act last year. Switch to electric, and they'll give you $840 of other people's money to do so!

The apparent "reasoning" is that a medical study was released saying gas stoves pose a health threat, especially to children. By that reasoning, the Marxists should ban abortion. They claim that the major threat is nitrogen dioxide poisoning the environment, right along with all that carbon, and people need to be protected.

...

A dozen years ago, Church Militant produced an in-depth look at all this in one of our Faith-Based Investigations entitled Global Warming Unmasked. We highly suggest you view it if you haven't. Just click on the provided link. We put hundreds of man-hours of research into this production, so it is extensive.

One thing we've noticed when we go back here and look at our earlier productions is just how relevant they are today — even more so, in fact.

And now, let's begin with today's Vortex...

Talk about weird!

Open borders. Closed borders. It truly is a grab bag when it comes to the question of immigration — legal and especially illegal. Let's begin with China, which recently announced that it's become much more "family friendly." Since the death of Mao Zedong in 1976, China became extremely violent toward the idea of children, instituting its savage one-child policy along with forced abortion as the enforcement mechanism.

Sidebar — Joe Biden, the "devout Catholic," never had a problem with that and was instrumental in gaining the Chinese the much-coveted "most-favored-nation trade status" during his time in the U.S. Senate.

Over the ensuing decades, the Chinese communists relented somewhat, occasionally rolling back some aspects of the one-child, forced-abortion policy. But as the decades wore on, the commies in charge realized that killing your future generations didn't make for good long-term prosperity.

So this year, in a complete about-face, the child-killing commies in Beijing are now encouraging couples to have babies and are even talking about expanding child health care. Who'd have thought even a few years ago that commies in China would understand how bad abortion is before American political leaders?

The whole murderous mindset began back in the mid- to late-'70s as the myth of overpopulation was becoming entrenched around the world. The Chinese communist solution to poverty was simply to kill the poor, much like American foreign policy has been since Obama and now on steroids under Biden.

But when the economic toll of killing off your future generations begins to be realized — well, emergency overdrive measures are deployed. All of a sudden, in countries around the world, governments are pro-child in an effort to increase their populations — imagine that.

...

Let's start with the second one first. Catholics number about 62 million in the United States, according to the bishops, which translates to about one in five Americans. That roughly 21% number means it's the largest single religion in the country.

But if you suck out roughly seven million from that total because they are not actual citizens, the overall percentage drops to just 16%. The conclusion of the math here is very easy. Illegal immigration is keeping the bishops' numbers artificially high. The real percentage is something much lower than the statistics being published.
