Trophies

Also, women used to be limited to the pool of men within their relative proximity. So they would choose the “best” man that was available to them in their town/county/area. Now distance is no longer a limitation really except for how far a particular man is willing to travel to possibly get a chance.

In Chicago the police put up Shot Spotters on light poles around the city. Basically they are microphones that listen for gunshots. Using multiple of them and the directions they heard the shots coming from it helped police narrow down where the shootings were taking place.

They worked pretty well but had to be taken down because they were showing that most of the shootings were happening in “minority” neighborhoods and it would have been “racist” to increase police presence in those areas. It’s nothing new of course, but apparently it’s racist to notice things these days.

Not Martin Luther King Jr of 1960s civil rights fame.

Martin Luther of the 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg in 1517 fame. This act of protest against that Catholic Church was the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Even though Luther himself was not in favor of starting another church and just wished for the Catholic (I.e. Universal) Church to reform some of its beliefs and practices.

But those are high-powered "assault computers" that no regular, right-thinking person should ever need to use. /s

Probably governor Gavin Nuisance will just take her place and keep pushing the same agenda.

Yup the new fridges and AC units use R600a as the refrigerant which is isobutane. Very flammable. Hydrocarbons have been known as potential refrigerants since the early days of refrigeration but were rejected for use because of this flammability. Thanks Greenpeace!

It's just more "rules for thee, but not for me" bullshit. They want all of us plebs to use much less energy (like 18th or 19th century amounts) so that they can feel good about using multiple orders of magnitude more.

From a strictly physics interpretation it could be argued that you never actually "touch" anything.
