Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think in the end I'll probably have to just invest in a small push mower, since the riding mower tends to get stuck in those ditches anyway. That and, well, safety hazards with taking slopes like that.
I will probably unironically do that if I have to. Actually that's not a bad suggestion.
