Like if the brakes were out on a car, you might try to coast to a low speed and then try run into something safely to stop yourself. It really does look like they were steering to purposely hit the column.
Good for you. I am not necessarily anti-alcohol, but for some people it becomes a problem (rather than an occasional fun time).
Someone very important to me has a drinking problem, to the point that I have had to distance myself from him to avoid his irrational, angry drunken behavior. It's very sad.

Wonderful post. I had this same conversation recently. I have several potential gigs lined up, but everyone is so, so flaky that it's hard to schedule things. I find myself constantly having to almost nag people into responding. The funny thing is that they are never mad, but rather apologetic.
I think for a lot of people, after a certain period of time has gone by without responding, they are embarrassed to respond because they'll have to explain why they took so long to get back to you, so it's easier just to ghost you. By reaching out to them first without shaming them, you're giving them an opportunity to save face. Everybody wins

The guy puts a fake plug on his obviously NOT electric Jeep so that he can fake plug in at the EV charging station for free all day instead of paying for parking. He's taking advantage of "EVs will save the world" crowd and laughing at how stupid they are for not realizing that he's not actually charging his Jeep
I hate condoms and didn't have to use them for a long time when I was in a committed relationship. Now I'm single again and I guess if I ever have sex again I'll have to use a condom to avoid STDs. Pretty sad
