I won't see what you describe happen. Age and going to a destination that isn't as fucked as this one is my only viable option to enjoy my remaining years. How about a country where the president doesn't threaten using the military against the people.
White men that prefer living a Christian lifestyle are hated by most governments in this country. Local government denies these people civil rights, the State backs local, Federal backs State. Complain and you are automatically on a list targeted with retaliation. I exercise my right to own and carry firearms and a bond for insurance. It's the reason I'm alive to post this comment. However speaking only for myself, I no longer think this country is worth fight for and it's time to go elsewhere.
If the draft is reinstated there will be no avoiding it if your number comes up. Your choices are; go into service, become a conscientious observer, leave the country, or go to jail. I missed the Vietnam draft by days and had friends that went. These were the options back in the '70's.
From what I've read 4G LTE isn't going away. All new phones are now 5G compliant. I've also got a 4G flip phone with a removable battery used when needed. My next smartphone might be 5G compliant, but at least it'll be a de-googled one. No IOS for me.
Unfortunately 2FA security requires a smart device that associates a person to an online account for access. Either that or an SMS code sent to a smart device, thus making them a necessity.
There's no compromise with meth users, especially ones that cook. My experience has taught me no half measures work combating this scourge. Once you are involved in a meth fueled drama you and your loved ones are targets for harassment. Especially if the user has government affiliations.
First I read they will not process refunds unless requested by the donor and donate the remaining money to a legit charity that doesn't promote violence. Like one under investigation, say BLM?
