My most therapeutic realization is that silence is golden. Every time I stir the pot out of friendliness, the water gets a shade muddier and Im pissed I even tried.
Also, I've found something, if you must communicate or really want to talk out of the blue. Ditch the texting. Text is ice cold and not human. Talking with real words and hearing a real voice is 1000x better and they can't google fast enough to find excuses for anything and everything. Real phone conversations need a big comeback. Also don't text your mother, call your mother. Way better for the soul.
