I had rats in my garage, thought I had one. Burst into the garage one night and turned on the light, I saw 6. Bought a live trap. On many occasions, I trapped two rats together in one trap. I drove them to the forest and released them. Bought two more live traps. I was catching and relocating 8 to 10 rats a day, it didn’t seem to reduce the population. Realized I had a bigger problem than I thought.
Bought a five gallon pail of rat poison. I ended up only needing two handfuls to wipe them all out. My compassion had its limits, which was driving to the forest more than once a day.
