I appreciate how you ended your paragraph, it’s one of the reasons why I consider ‘religion’ to be an untapped sensory ability/disability.
See, hear, smell, touch, taste are the five human sensors that we can measure with certainty. I suggest there might be sense number six that exists within us all yet is entirely impossible to measure .
Makes me think of how human flight evolved from knowing nothing two hundred years ago to today where we now no nearly everything…, maybe.
As for the brutality? That’s why I pay a butcher and not a priest.
