I worked for LA Unified SD as network engineer about 10-15 years ago. I had to go to any/all of the schools and fix whatever network issue, from bad switch to router problem. My area was South fucking Central: Compton and Watts. I could talk about that, and have, for a long time.
I can't tell you how many crackerbox houses I'd have to drive past (all located by elementary/middle schools) maybe 1000ft2 on a 2500ft2 lot with chain fencing and a pitbull, at all varying levels of disrepair and unkemptness. I'd generally go in the early to midmorning, before the more dangerous porchmonkeys would be out and about.
About 1/3 of them would have an Escalade with nigger rims in the carport. Without fail. I'd come back in a few months and it wouldn't be there. Without fail.
