Bit off topic - one of my most memorable things i had saw as a kid was reading a hard cover magazine style book from the 70-80's at the library circa 1986 or so. It was full of war world 2 photographs taken by a German photographic unit attached to a Heer Panzer-grenadier regiment as it travelled across France and Europe for war time magazines back home, taking snap shots of regiment members in combat poses or just chilling on the military bike, tank etc having a smoke and some (French ??) photographers had literally travelled around and found every single location and taken a modern side by side picture (same distance, position of camera etc ) was absolutely fascinating as a kid to see the same sheds, houses, cottages just painted a different color or the single tree a couple of grenadiers leaning against now a huge 40 year later oak, empty crossroads with the hedgehog sign posts now completely built up areas etc across French and Europe. Went looking for it bout 20 years ago - likely trashed and out of print. Sad times.
