Close..kinda. Aryan is the subspecies. Germanic(this includes Nordic), Slavic , Celtic, Magyar/Finnic are the major races that still have some distinction. In the reality of modern times, outside the remote European regions of Scandinavia(Germanic), Irish/Scottish/French countyside(Celts), and far NorthEast Europe(Slavs) - you end up with some admixture of those 3 major groups.
Then you can add some North African/Arabic to mix in South-SouthEast Europe and Mongolian/Turkic when you get to the Far East.
My main point being, "European" is not only a valid race descripter but probably the most useful one to use today
