I was a sysadmin at the largest defense contractor in the northeast. Was making good bank and was working from home. Never had it better. When Biden announced the mandates for government workers / contractors, I said to my wife "well ..this is it. I will be out of work come October 15" (last day to provide proof of vaxx to HR before not having it submitted was going to be taken as a resignation). I waited until the last day to see if there was going to be an about-face, or some sanity returning to the country. nope. I was one of the 3% that refused and ..refused to remain at the company. ended up landing a a gig at a local MSP making less than 1/2 of what I was, and working twice as hard, LOL. Oh well, I knew better than to submit to that clot shot. Felt like I was both saving my soul and my life the day I gave back that laptop
