I don’t like off beat rap flows. I like it for like 2 bars as a break from repetition/monotony, but I prefer an on-beat, staccato rap flow.

Sometimes, you have to change things up to engage the audience.

I remember coming on stage dressed up as a 7-foot tall hamster ("The Verbal Gerbil”) and carrying a 4 foot-tube of K-Y jelly that I would lay on the floor right at the lip of the stage and I would stomp on it violently without warning and spray the audience. Good times.
