The absolute state of healthcare

submitted by WNwoman to whatever 2 monthsFeb 18, 2024 21:46:36 ago (+34/-1)     (whatever)

I need to vent somewhere. I avoid doctors if at all possible for myself and my children. I will only seek emergency care and after Covid all trust is gone. That said, I had no choice but to take my child to urgent care this weekend after some concerning symptoms and feeling like we probably needed an antibiotic.

I live in an extremely White area where expensive housing keeps it that way so imagine my surprise (and horror) when everyone working in the urgent care was black. The actual doctor was some sort of half breed indian or middle eastern, I couldn’t tell. The sheboon at the front desk was wearing a SHOWER CAP. I don’t pretend to understand the complexity of black hair but I’m guessing she was trying to preserve some sort of freshly done wig or something. Anyway, how unprofessional. I have an unusual last name so when giving her my information I made sure to slowly spell it out. Sure enough, when I got my printed copy the sheboon had completely butchered my name.

After she finished my paperwork she lumbered outside the clinic to a convenience store a couple buildings down to buy snacks leaving the front desk unattended. A 300lb spic man arrived then and stood there waiting to be helped. I guess I could have explained about the sheboon but I felt resentful that he most likely doesn’t even pay health insurance and I’m paying exorbitant costs. Plus it’s doubtful he even spoke English competently.

Finally we are escorted to the back and the medical assistant is a young male boon. I had to endure him touching my child to take vitals and I hated every second of that.

The Patel dr wanted to administer a Covid test even though the symptoms I described indicated something else entirely. We left with an rx for antibiotics but it was ridiculous. Medical care is a joke yet we are forced to jump through their hoops to get things we need.

"COVID" doesn't exist. The tests, test for nothing.
Buy natural remedies books and read this website for your next cure to what ails you and yours.
Stop going to urgent care. A broken bone is the only reason these days to go to a doctor, and some doubt that too.
