Never leave a good man hanging. These are old school values. If you're on the job and a man needs your help and he's a stand up dude who is working hard to support his family, it is your duty to step in the trenches with him and get the job done.

Even if it's late and the cold wind is howling and everyone is tired and dirty and wants to go home. I'm not gonna lie in my bed and sleep good at night knowing that there was more I could do and I fucked over a good man for my own comfort.

Everyone nowadays looks out for themselves and tries to see what they can get out of and avoid doing. Lazy bastards who will fuck other people over for their own comfort are a dime a dozen. I can give you the names of dozens of lazy fucks who do the bare minimum and would leave someone hanging deep into the evening on a big job instead of lifting a finger to help.

Don't get me wrong, under day to day operations when shit is flowing normally the goal is to be efficient but work at a steady pace to avoid burnouts. My conscience however won't let me sit back and high tail it out while someone else is working their ass off to provide for their family

The dudes who step up are the ones who are remembered and don't get cut when things are slow. The ones who like to bird watch and hang out in the truck won't get that good reference and will hit the bread line the moment things go south.
