I still remember what happened right before my awakening.
Me and two buddies took the previously famous Political Compass test. We got varied scores and started talking about some of the questions. Suffice to say it didnt go super smoothly, as we all ended up thinking the others were retarded. I was only moderately auth right, basically typical maga standard, but they both ended up left center and liberal. Turns out one of them had already dabbled in some communist philosophy and my political repertoire consisted of some basic bitch conservative nonsense. Mind you I was not political at all and did not like politics because Ive always hated the divisive nature of the American political game. I told him communism was bullshit and he responded with typical marx type crap.
This went on for a few minutes, but I did bring something up which stumped all of us. It was an honest question, but the more I thought about it, the more it didnt make sense.
I asked him "Why do you guys hate Nazis so much if youre all Socialists? Werent they the only ones to get that shit to somewhat work?"
They responded with some empty trumped up baloney which, at the time, was easily found guilty for Nazis and Commies alike. Some time later however, I truly was bugged by this question. Why were they the ultimate enemy of communists if they were supposedly extremely similar? Having fought in a single war wasnt a satisfying answer. This was pure, unadulterated, seething hatred. The kind that only comes from mortal enemies akin to Christ and the devil.
I plowed into some research and found myself on a now defunct altmedia website called Ruqqus. Good riddance, the history of that site is disgusting. Anyways, it was only a few hours and some unbiased consumption of information. That was all it took. Not only did it dismantle everything I thought was true, but it also confirmed light suspicions I had from the beginning. I had some conflicting feelings about things like the holocaust, but a couple pieces of whats probably now lost media, nipped that right in the bud.
Thats literally all it takes. More than two braincells, a couple hours, and a true unbiased attempt. Its honestly staggering at how easy it is. Truly just an attempt is all it takes.
