Second smoke alarm in about a month. I texted the secretary of the property management company and it took a maintenance guy almost 2 weeks to change the battery. I'm not listening to this shit during my Christmas break. Fuck this place. I need to move.
Is this a battery in the building hallway or your apartment hallway? Regardless, why not change the battery yourself? Stepladders are cheap and it'd be good to have one at home anyway for different tasks.
