Repeal the 19th

submitted by WNwoman to whatever 4 monthsDec 19, 2023 09:52:37 ago (+52/-2)     (whatever)

My husband and I attended a neighborhood Christmas party last week. Our neighborhood is all White with one Asian family and everyone is upper middle class for background. Most of the couples at the party were boomer age except for us and the Asians.

I was chatting with the women and talk turned to schools. I quickly realized that every one of these women were leftist idiots. They were moaning about how awful the school district here is because they don’t pay the poor teachers enough and all the teachers are moving to the big city district for more pay, blah blah. Also they were furious about how awful the school board is. Now this particular school board is extremely conservative and were overwhelmingly elected after Covid for fighting mask mandates and that bs. Our city is very red and the district is majority White and of course rated highest on tests and such. The women all said they vote for every prop that aims to increase funding for schools and teachers etc.

I kept my mouth shut because I realized years ago that it’s futile to argue with women that are ruled by emotions and not logic. Also I don’t send my kids to public school anyway. The infuriating thing was that when my husband and I compared notes after the party he said all the men were very conservative and talked politics the whole time.

It was just one more reason for me to wish women couldn’t vote. I’d gladly give up my right. It’s insane how easily we can be swayed by an emotional appeal. The husbands who all work hard and actually pay the already insane property taxes see the logical side of things which is that the districts cannot manage the money they already receive while their idiot wives who live pampered lives vote to increase taxes to pay for teachers to teach DEI and rot our kids brains.
