I get a mixed impression of Catbox, most of the time it does a "relatively" good job. It caught some unfair flak for getting DDOS attacked, and has been called out unreasonably here for not editing out Exif meta-data and not blocking webp/webm, actions which uploaders and downloaders are empowered to do themselves.
Conversely, it has had infrequent but regular TLS cert problems before, which is a basic server admin fail. It does also delete stuff now; this wasn't the case for a while, then the Saint Tarrant video changed that forever.
Definitely should not be the single go-to host for every image posted here.
