Admittedly, putting a hand on the camera is not "for officer protection," they just hoped that curiosity would get the better of her, and that she would open the door to see who it is. Then, with or without a warrant, they'd be able to force their way in. If they have a warrant, they should show it, not try to scheme their way in. Otherwise, the property owner is right: get the fuck off her property, especially if you have a history of pointing an AR at her as she suggests.
