Also in MOST places if you go inside and get a gun and come back out you will be held liable at least financially if not criminally. Now if you say you open carry around the house because of snakes, coyotes, bears, and where I live I can also say gators THEN you are safe to start blastin!
I had this problem where i lived with whit trash renter neighbors shitbulls coming into my yard, spoke to an old cop that has been around forever, he said to tell the police you open carry and that's why you didn't have to go get your gun, or if u have concealed carry permit that works too, remember if you have to the safety of your house then come back out to the danger in the yard you might be held liable.
