This is the case throughout virtually the entire west. The Australian army for example gave one of their special ops guys their greatest military decoration for shooting ragheads in Afghanistan. Less than ten years later and they are trying to take their medal back and charge the guy with murder - specifically the murder of ragheads in Afghanistan.
They turned one of the most capable and feared military units in the Western world into scapegoats in a virtue signaling exercise. It's absurd.
