I witnessed this first hand. They also serve lunch to the entire class. The lunch ladies bring the food and the kids serve it. not one student eats until everyone has their plate. I was humbled by my manners when I started eating early. a little girl started shaking her head no at me since I didn't speak Japanese. I thought to myself, "wow,I am a rude American piece of shit."
