Jesus physical body died, but was also resurrected in three days (aka Easter). He defeated death, both physical and spiritual death, that was brought into the world via the original sin of Adam and Eve.
One thing to note here, Jesus death was only his physical body. Jesus took on human flesh (what we know as the incarnation), but He existed as spirit prior to His conception and birth.
