Blind obedience, with a sprinkling of the thought "I'll make the Gov't pay if things go bad". They dont realize the go bad part is death.

Have a coworker that is similar to your neighbor. He actually thinks he'll have the strength while he's dying from these shots to do something.

I believe it's called cognitive dissonance.
