There’s billions that actually go to weird shit like this.
I remember a cpl years ago some Canadian guy went on a shooting rampage in 3-4 locations on their east coast somewhere.
Shot a bunch of people but they immediately tried and failed to minimize the fact the guy was dressed as a cop and did it in full uniform.
Then without explaining exactly how that came to be, because he wasn’t a cop, a few weeks later it came out the guy had been a cop informant for a decade and had been getting regular payments of 10s of 1000s adding up to 1/2 million +.
Not only that, but all the local cops and higher ups knew him, and they proved that he was getting his payoffs directly from a local bank.
Like the bank was personally paying him on behalf of the feds.
