Wasn’t a hate crime. If you followed the case, he had assaulted his GF moments before and has to fight off her two friends. He was instructed to leave because the cops were called. His killing of the people likely had more to do with the rage at his GF and also the frustration of trying to evade police and finding himself stuck in the parade route. Before you go crazy, I acknowledge that he is a racist and a murderer, but jidt that is motivation was different than most of us had thought.
