I hate to break it to him but women were never any different. They aren't men, shouldn't expect manly behavior from them. Best to think of a woman as someone you'll need to take care of and lead. Of course with no-fault divorce it's a losing game to get married, just knock one up and live with her, provided you don't live in a common law state. If you do, consult a lawyer on how to protect your stuff first.
