My sisters friend, who is a nurse, said that in the first months of covid they would quarantine patients, put them on ventilators and just wait for them to die. Just to repeat this process over and over. They stated they had never seen anything like it. Would basically abandon the patient in a room with no follow up care, just hook them up to a machine and wait. They struggle with the guilt to this day.
