Greetings Talkies! American visiting Russian speaking world here as a tourist. Everyone one of my friends and family BEGGED me not to travel here. "They hate Americans; you will be a target" they said. Well, that can't be further from the truth. Everyone here I have encountered is respectful, well-dressed, White and I must say good looking ; ). I have seen two people of African descent. Drag queen story hour would put you in jail. I asked my friend "Is there an area of this big city you wouldn't go to at night for your safety?" She looked at me puzzled and said, "No. Why?" My friends: CNN and Fox are lying to you. Russians, Iraqis, Afghanis, etc., etc.: They don't wake up hating Americans and our freedom. Someone in the USA for some reason is pushing for war, death and destruction throughout the world on peaceful people. If you find out who, please bring it to someone's attention.
