If there is a car in the passing lane behind you going faster than you, get the fuck over. if that requires that you slow down and get behind the car you are overtaking, so be it. if it means hitting your accelerator to pass the car you are overtaking faster, then fucking do it.
And then, they intentionally sped up to block that guy from passing just out of spite, and doubled their assholery. If they were OK with speeding up, why didn't they just speed up during the overtake, get out of that guys way, and go back to overtaking the second vehicle?
