Here is the method I currently use to convert webm files to MP4.
Suggestions for improvements are welcome.
1. Copy URL for webm file.
2. Navigate to
https://cloudconvert.com/.

3. Click the
v on the right side of the
Select File button to expose the drop-down menu. Select
By URL.

4. A dialog box labeled
Add file by URL should appear. Paste URL for web content copied in step 1 in the text box contained within. Select
Add.

5. An entry for the webm file should appear within the content pane. Click the
… v button to the right of the
Convert to label Select
MP4 from the options that appear.

6. Select
Convert.

7. After a brief interval a video should appear. There should be a
Download button on the bottom right of the panel and I usually just right-click, save-as.

8. Upload to Catbox, or your preferred host.
Post the converted MP4 file. Now your fellow goats who happen to be phone fags may also view the content and participate in the shared experience of awesome that is voat.
That’s all there is to it. Would be great to have a method that didn’t involve downloading and then re-uploading the converted content and, in practice, it’s not much of an impediment.
