Some of us absorb some weird "do you know who I am?" attitude from New Jersey. Mostly because we were told that it is expected of us. I heard somebody use the excuse today and I remember being young and like that. It's a pretty bad built-in excuse.

On a related note, I believe New York City gangsters don't feel the need to kill each other as much because they don't have such inferiority complexes. Chicago has that complex. New Jersey has the complex. It's like you can sense big cities all around you but you know you are in no way part of it. Yet you feel very big and in the mix.

In Chicago the city is right there but you know damn well you're in the middle of nowhere affecting nothing.
