When I did my cabinets, I didn't do the granite. That's the thing I had to have a guy come out and do. But I did have to put down a plywood subtop in place that sits under the granite. I assumed it was standard practice but I guess I don't know that for sure. It doesn't look like this lady did that though, unless for some reason she cut that wrong in the exact same way. Normally you wouldn't cut the subtop at a 45 though. You'd just have one piece go all the way to the wall.
I don't even know what you'd do here. Maybe fill it with some kind of resin and sand it down and live with it looking different. Would probably be a pain to match the bullnose though. There's nothing good that I can think of that can be done, but I'm not a professional.
